The Loper Programming and Activities Council (LPAC) at UNK is a student-run organization dedicated to enhancing campus life by organizing a diverse array of events and activities. LPAC's mission is to provide engaging and inclusive programming that fosters community, entertainment, and personal growth among students.
Membership and Meetings
LPAC welcomes all UNK students to participate, offering opportunities to develop leadership skills, event planning experience, and campus involvement. Meetings are held every Thursday at 5:00 PM in the Antelope Room of the Nebraskan Student Union. Students interested in joining can attend these meetings to learn more about upcoming events and volunteer opportunities.

LPAC is renowned for hosting several major events throughout the academic year, including:

Blue Gold Showcase: Part of Blue Gold Welcome each August, Blue Gold Showcase is a vibrant festival where 2,000-3,000 students and community members connect through food, games, prizes, entertainment, and a free picnic hosted by the UNK Chancellor, fostering Loper pride and welcoming new and returning students.

Homecoming: A week-long celebration with activities such as the Lip Sync competition, parade, and royalty crowning, fostering school spirit and unity.

Gingerbread House Competition: An annual event where students showcase their creativity by constructing gingerbread houses, promoting holiday cheer and camaraderie.

Stuff-A-Plush: A popular activity allowing students to create their own stuffed animals, serving as a fun and therapeutic experience.
- Spring Concert: One of the most anticipated events, featuring performances by prominent artists. Past performers include AJR, Cole Swindell, and Yung Gravy.

5K Fun Run: An event promoting fitness and community engagement, with proceeds supporting the Student Leadership Scholarship fund.
Leadership Opportunities
Students seeking deeper involvement can apply for positions on the LPAC Executive Committee. These roles offer hands-on experience in event planning, leadership development, and collaboration. Applications are typically accepted during the spring semester for the upcoming academic year.
