How to Accept or Decline Your Financial Aid at UNK
Step 1: Log into MyBLUE

Enter your 8-digit NUID and TrueYou password.

If you haven't set up your TrueYou credentials yet, go to trueyou.nebraska.edu Links to an external site. to claim your account and enroll in two-factor authentication.

Step 2: Navigate to the Financial Aid Section

Once logged in, click on the Financial Aid tab in the top navigation menu.University of Nebraska at Kearney Links to an external site.
Step 3: Access Your Award Offers

Click on Accept/Decline Offers.

Select the appropriate academic year for which you are reviewing your financial aid.
Step 4: Review Your Financial Aid Package

Carefully read through your offered financial aid, which may include:

Grants and Scholarships: These are automatically accepted on your behalf, as they do not require repayment.

Federal Student Loans: You have the option to accept, decline, or accept a partial amount.

Work-Study: If offered, you can choose to accept or decline this opportunity. Links to an external site.

For each aid type:

Use the drop-down menu next to each offer to select Accept, Decline, or Accept a Partial Amount.

If accepting a partial amount, enter the specific amount you wish to borrow. Remember, loans are typically split equally between fall and spring semesters.

After making your selections, click Submit to finalize your decisions.
Step 6: Complete Additional Requirements (If Applicable)

If this is your first time accepting federal student loans, you must complete:

Entrance Loan Counseling

Master Promissory Note (MPN)
